The Hermès "Les Fêtes du Roi Soleil" (Celebrations of the Sun King) scarf is a highly collectible Carré 90 designed by artist Michel Duchene. First issued in 1994, it features an elaborate historical tribute to King Louis XIV and the grand pageantry of the French court.
The design was inspired by 17th-century engravings by Silvestre and Chauveau, which illustrated text by Charles Perrault honoring the birth of the Sun King's heir in 1662.
